Traffic Modeling and Simulation Course code: 218031 | 8 ECTS credits

Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 4
Requirements:
Goal: Introducing students to the basic terms and definitions in the field of decision support systems, modeling, and simulation, simulation methodology, methods and tools, stochastic and deterministic processes, discrete and continuous traffic processes, traffic modeling and simulation, simulation experiments, analysis of simulation results, and preparation of documentation as a basis for the decision making process.
Outcome: Students will be able to define the basic concept, characteristics, and benefits of decision support systems,
to apply the acquired knowledge in the decision-making process in traffic planning, to identify stochastic, deterministic, discrete, and continuous processes in traffic, to apply simulation methodology, to create simulation model, to perform simulation experiments, to analyze the results of simulation experiments, and to prepare documentation relevant for the decision-making process in traffic planning.
