Motive Power - Electrical Part Course code: 117007 | 5 ECTS credits

Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 3
Semester: 5
Requirements:
Goal: To learn and understand the fundamentals of railway electric and diesel traction vehicles theory. To understand the design, and implementation of basic electrical and diesel mechanical systems, and to observe some practical issues.
Outcome: Students will be able to test and service basic electrical and mechanical systems of railway electric and diesel traction vehicles. The course studies all mechanical and electrical components of electric and diesel traction vehicles. It also analyzes the role of these vehicles in power systems DC 600 V, 1500 V and 3000 V, AC 15 kV 16 2/3 Hz, and 25 kV 50 Hz.
